Does sound good im tempted myself if the protein is decent. Its a strange one, as i know of various "sister" companies out there that sell simlair products to there main company counterpart.
Reflex used to have one "AllinOne" think it was called, as did Muscletech with Cytogenix Labs aswell as Muscle Asylum Project and possibly a few others. Ive not been able to find any comparison in either profile or actual ingrediant breakdown so it is strange, unless this Matrix company is literally brand new.
Be nice if anyone who has used,or knows of this company can shed some light on this affair. There has been some discussion on this product before. We spend thousands on quality control to ensure our quality is exceptional. Sophia Marbles Hi guys, Not to enter into a row here, but the above poster is incorrect. At commodity level, a standalone "micellar casein" does not exist. It can be made, but nobody sells it, why not? Attendant to this, is the fact that, by virtue that this material is such a rarity, one cannot merely 'put an order' in for KG of the material.
A potential client would have to contract for at least twenty tons of it, and even then, the price would be, as said, astronomical, thus prohibitive, for inclusion in a supplement product. A supps company can claim to be using the material, but they are NOT! Thus questions need to be asked of those companies claiming to be using such material.
Indeed the only two appear to be Trueprotein, and the guy above. Oh and, just before someone throws a hissy fit, everything I have just typed, comes from Phil Connolly, with whom I discussed the matter not ten mins ago. The guy was far more honest than some of the info found here.
You're spot on with this mate, I do feel it misleads the customers. However, none of the manufacturers ive seen actually claim 'micellar casein' as a separate entity entirely from milk protein Until tests are done to verify what protein sources are used it's not really a foolproof system. Do not misunderstand me - testing is good and that it is indepenent is even better but the final piece is crucial what is making up the Nitrogen content!
I just use the Matrix Nutrition 'whey matrix' and im on my 4th tub i think now! A good product imo. Phil Connely, probably el numero uno in the UK, has been asked to comment. In the post you asked to be moved I cited a comment of Phil's regarding what other companies call MC.
In the way many companies use the term they actually use A Milk Protein Concentrate or Milk Protein Isolate differing only in protein content as they would with Whey. However, it is often inferred by many companies that their products is ONLY Micellar Casein and thus better when compared to a identical product using one of the other names. Thank you for using Matrix-Nutrition. COA are worth nothing. I could make one up. You can trust independent testing that you do yourself.
Unless your involved then it is as pointless as a COA. Therefore either do full testing yourself or buy from brands you know you can trust. The brands i trust most are reflex and MP.
If you ask a company for a COA, and they don't even have one on hand, meaning they probably have no real idea even if that idea might be wrong what the true content of their product is. Well that I find harder to trust that a company that can produce one when asked. I do agree with you though, and my trust for companies own brand products is limited. All they are doing are taking the C of A from the raw material manufacturer and puting their own letter head on it To be honest with you even the protein tests are worth little or nothing too Remember, Soy, Pea and collogen all are higher in protein than whey concentrate and also a lot less expensive Create an account or sign in to comment.
